I’ve been using Dan.com with great success in the past two years and its acquisition by GoDaddy was disappointing.

The Dutch start-up was about to roll out its own domain registrar, as a white label of Metaregistrar BV. A domain registrar/marketplace combo had tremendous potential; it also posed extreme danger to GoDaddy: Dan.com was already stealing Afternic’s lunch involving domain sales.

80% of the domaining community will agree with the following statement....

Godaddy should have kept the dan.com or uniregistry platform and incorporated Afternic into it.

Both platforms were supperior in almost every way.

Everything Dan "achieved", as well as their "plans for the future", were nothing more than ringing the dinner bell for a GoDaddy acquisition. There was never going to be a Dan 10 years from now - that wasn't the plan.

I've seen this same sell-out strategy time and time again, and the guys are Dan hit every single beat.

Regarding the original issue -- there would have been no problems with using the "push" at Dan here. However, just to ensure there's no confusion in the future, a small update will be pushed live in the next few days by the Dan team.
