When selling domains for under $1000, do you prefer to use BIN, Offer, or Price Request on your sales page?

I don't have any BIN's under $1,000 US. My domains which have BIN's are all priced usually at $2000 or higher.

Many of my lower tier domains are listed at Min Offer which I set at $699 US to $988. Sometimes I drop some to $500 US.

When you deduct taxes and 15% commission, it isn't worth it to me selling for less unless I'm firesaling names I plan to drop or need to raise cash. Say you sell a name for $300, deduct $45 commission and 30-50% in taxes, you have enough left to maybe pay a cable bill. Which is ok from time to time but you need to do a lot of volume to make it worthwhile.

I would rather have no offers, than get 10+ offers for $50 or $100 where the inquirer won't go higher. When you start out domaining any offer is exciting, but at this point for me lowball offers have little appeal anymore.

Most of my names I list on Dan, others I consider premium or potential to sell for a moonshot I send to my own sales page.

If I was selling a name for under $1000, I'd put a $1000 BIN on it anyway and allow a make offer set at the level I would sell at. Try to negotiate offers higher if they don't BIN, and settle on the highest offer if you're willing.

From my own experience, I haven't seen any method, BIN, make offer, minimum offer, etc, result in more sales for myself. I imagine most buyers who arrive at a domain have a max price they are willing to pay, and are either interested or not. Most want to pay $100 or $200 and you'll never get them higher anyway. Or if they go away they have time to think about it and maybe decide to go higher.

I guess the better you know the true value range of your domains in the market, and reading the buyer's ability/willingness to transact, and having names that are in demand, is the greatest combination to lead to more high quality inquiries and sales.

I wish I knew how many lowballers go to my Dan listed domains and enter $50 or $100 on the Make Offer, and get the "Your offer does not meet the minimum starting offer requirement set by the seller" message. Makes me smile when I think about that.
