The first time I used them I was looking for something at Canadian Tire and it worked perfectly to find a store with inventory. *THUMBSUP*


Now if they could only do Costco the world would be perfect *YAHOO*

Been using that site since it was first launched off RFD and other than some snags where retailers tried to block it, it's been a great resource.

At least online on costco.ca there's a trick to check that I learned on Red Flag Deals. Just add the item to your cart and try to change the quantity to 999 or so, it tells you how many they have available.

Thank you for that, now if only I could get the price without freight.
I was going to have a snow blower shipped and when I went to my local store the snow thrower was $200 cheaper.

There was no way to specify pick up on the website and I could have sworn they used to have that feature at costco.

Reminds me of when I was talking to my Canada Post Commercial rep and he said something like "In a recent survey, 85% of Canadians preferred companies offering free shipping", I replied "No crap Einstein". As we all know, there is no real "free shipping", the customer has to pay one way or another. That said...it is nice to get.

I haven't seen or used pickup from Costco.ca ever. The site appears to be entirely detached from the store and most of the items on the site are more expensive than in store (when available). Some of them have a note saying that the item may be available cheaper in store.

I've ordered food items from the site multiple times since the start of the pandemic as I really want to avoid this store specifically (crowded even with the restrictions), but the items are just a lot more expensive on the site. And there is a surcharge if you order under a certain amount.

Especially in Canada, there is no free shipping.

One of my packages is stuck in a sorting center in Montreal again... just one step before being delivered. Hope it won't arrive completely soaked and torn like my father's Christmas package, it even had mold growing on the paper when it finally got here from Germany.

The costco website is great but has a HUGE problem. They used to charge freight extra but now they build it into the price and it made a $200 difference on my snow blower. The big issue I have is that if you order 10 small items you are technically paying freight 10 times and this is a huge profit source for costco. There should be an adjustment to freight when you buy multiple items.

I much preferred knowing what freight was on each item and then I could make the decision to pick it up in store.

I remember the old notifications telling me it was in stock and could be had cheaper at my local store.
It peeved me on my snow blower because I had to call the store, and give them the item number to find out how much it was. The $200 seemed a little too dear for the freight so I fired up my wife's mini van and picked it up.

Yesterday I received a christmas card postmarked in NOVEMBER. CanadaPost sucks ass. My wife made the mistake of letting our car insurance sticker be mailed to us from about 5 minutes away, a place we drive by many times a week. She kept bugging them about it saying they didn't send it. I told her it was Canada Post. Should didn't believe me. It took 3 weeks, and sure enough, the postmark even proved they mailed it when they said they did.

Canada Post has been dismal these past 2 months. For our candy business, we had some of our customers' packages mailed to them in the last week of November and they didn't receive them before Christmas. We are still chasing a few packages sent of in December...its the 22nd of January!

As far behind as they were, they still had SEVEN out of TEN days OFF during the period of Dec 25 - Jan 3. If I was as far behind as they were, I would have been delivering packages for some of those days. They should be ashamed!

Gov't employees aren't ashamed, they're proud of being able to give the bare minimum, get the best benefits, and then give you that smirk that they know they're fucking you over and there isn't much you can do about it.

You forgot their gold-plated pension that effectively gives them a higher wage than they're making now.

I have no idea what is going to go down in the next few years, but as our Treasurer stated, Canada is effectively bankrupt, yet the Canadian taxpayer is on the hook for billions and billions of dollars in unfunded public service pensions drawn up and authorized by arts and sociology grads.

"Who cares, we'll just print more money!"
