Swetha is a very smart lady and she sells more .xyz domains than anyone and I recently noticed she now forwards swetha.xyz to her dan marketplace.

Very nice but she is still making on tiny mistake...

Can anyone spot it?

There is another new member @Azizougraph who also uses the dan.com marketplace as his website but he uses the dan link.

He would be wise to do like swetha and use one of his domains as a forward to his dan marketplace but he is also making the small mistake swetha is as well.

There are actually x3 opportunities missed on each of the two dan market pages

I will give you a hint...

The .com of MapleDots forwards to my Dan Marketplace and the .ca of my MapleDots forwards to my personal marketplace.

Look at my Dan marketplace and see if you can see the x3 opportunities lost on swetha and Azizougraph's Dan marketplace

I’m thinking the user name Domain seller is too standard , should be a user name like MapleDots.com, come on Frank give some hints 🤣

Here are the missed opportunities #1 & #2

#1 = Use a recognized logo and use your company domain as your user name, it brings people back to your website for additional information about the seller.

#2 = Put your email address in the comment field to allow the potential client to contact you directly in case they are hesitant to use a marketplace.

#3 = Very small but missing nonetheless, can anyone see it?
 
The only obvious difference left (that I can see) is that you have seller stats enabled and she doesn't.

Do you have a domain you use for email or similar?

Go to your registrar and set up a domain forward pointing it to your dan marketplace.

Your dan marketplace link is the on you are using in your profile but I prefer this one

I organize it by views and I put 750 as my result total so it shows all my listed domains. If you have more at dan then increase that number and sub your marketplace name for mine.


I take it even further like this:

mapledots.ca/domains/all

mapledots.ca/domains/ca

mapledots.ca/domains/com

mapledots/domains/misc


I list them all on my main website: MapleDots

Notice I also have my DN.ca marketplace listed there: dn.ca/market/mapledots

I really like the idea of using subdomains on a market site to point to just domains with a certain TLD - had not thought of that possibility.

I have not (recently :geek:) read the entire ToS of Dan but presume they have nothing forbidding putting in the email address as shown. Was not sure since it might circumvent their obvious desire to be in control of the process.

Anyway, thank you so much for the ideas, and hope everyone has a nice fall of selling.

If it's not in the TOS, you can be sure GoDaddy is going to shut down that loophole in very short order.
 
On Dan, I tried to share the portfolio link on the listing pages and showcase popular domains and it only attracted low ball offers.
