Obviously, but we're all wondering why WHC posts a Top Picks list on social media that not only misses the premium domains of the week, but is also full of junk that either gets registered at min bid or not picked at all.

They have to be screwing with their competition and not wanting to divulge their customer order totals.

For example, their top order/bid totals for the week were for:

Elm
Petition
Release
SPX

And NONE of those were on the Top Picks list, so it's quite apparent that WHC doesn't want to show their hand too early.
Not sure which list you're referring to, but all of these four were marked as hot and in our full list.

I see you're referring to the social posts, got it.

Yes, there's the full Top Picks list and then there are the social media "Top 6 Picks" of the week that we are talking about here.

Man, where were all the bidders for Elm?

I'm dirt cheap and my top-end was $1500, and I stopped at $1400 because I knew I wouldn't beat the proxy bid anyway. But where was everyone else?

Are premium LLLs dead? Are we in a Domain Depression right now?

SBF.ca - $211
Rustico.ca - $210
Release.ca - $133
SPX.ca - $130
Eggrolls.ca - $120

We are in a Domain Depression... if you remove our ridiculous population growth Canada is in pretty terrible shape economically.

I just cancelled my January Holiday, everything almost doubled in price, things are stupid at the moment.

I'm buying domains mostly via the forum by conversing with domainers directly. I'm picking up great deals as the renewals are weighing heavily on investors.

I am also dropping a number of two word domains lately in favour of buying more one word premiums. Budget wise it comes out to the same but I save a bunch on renewals not having so many domains.

I've been implementing this strategy across my portfolio for the past year. I used to buy a bunch of $20 to $100 names, but the annual renewals really add up and I start questioning if some are even worth keeping. I have now removed auto-renew from the weakest 20% of my domains, and I've been focused solely on acquiring premium names for $500+ each with the goal of growing the value of my portfolio without increasing renewal costs.

Great minds think alike, yes the premiums cost more but after not paying renewals on hundreds of non premiums the savings start to make up the difference and the portfolio becomes a lot stronger.

I'm quite picky on the premiums though, I have to see potential to use it in a number of business applications.

There are also two word premiums that naturally go together and I still buy those once in a while.

I totally agree and Trudeau seems intent on creating many larger problems from a small problem. In fact, he's an expert at that little trick and his politics remind me of Principal Skinner on the Simpsons when he was trying to get rid of an invasive species.

Also, I notice that the NDP has cut ties with the Liberals, effectively stopping them from ruling over the unwashed masses with an iron fist.

Same here, but this is also an actual word / tree name.
I had intended to bid, in fact I placed one bid, then promptly got distracted for a few minutes, went back to look and saw it was closed already...

It was just me bidding against someone with a proxy. Weird.
