When you announce your bid beforehand, it's kind of a fait accompli when you're dealing with these ruffians.

I know you're happy to own it, but I'd be happier at $6-$8K myself.

There should be quite a few exceptions. From the recent memory, even if it's a domain that the company decides not to use and many others like that. But Canoe.ca caps it all!

Canoe and twitter were oddities

I'm still trying to figure out if canoe.ca is a real website or just a mockup. It's well done though and hopefully the owner will profit from the domain.

my bad, hadn't looked at the post-reg domains. We're on holiday hours... e.g. short staffed.
