Damn, its the same thing this week - CIRA has released next week's Restricted Domains early and it's yet another royal mess.

Wow, I don't think most people realize how incredibly expensive these next three months are going to be for .CA investors.

My TBR "Domains of Interest" lists are usually between 15 and 20 names per week, that I whittle down much further to a single-digit number that I plan to bid on... Last week it was 4.

I went about halfway through this week's pre-list at lunch and already I have over 30 names, a lot of them really good. And I peeked at next week's Restricted List and it's insane. Canoe.ca - how much do you think that will sell for? BIO? BEL? BMC? CAF? And we're just getting started!

January, February and March are going to be a fireworks show and hopefully no one gets burned.

Apart from this one being very Canadian, some of you will remember that it use to be a very popular news site back in the day. Anyone recall who owned it? I haven’t checked but I’m sure it has a ton of back links and even some type in traffic.

I thought it was Bell or Rogers, but from Wiki it appears to have been owned by Quebecor Media.

Either way, it's going to be veeeeery expensive for one of us suckers to buy and then wait years and years for a sale.

I officially recant my previous image, and here's the new vision of my immediate future:

This has been, and continues to be, a very weird holiday season.

With Christmas and News Years both hitting on the weekend (which also pushed the bank/industry Boxing Day holiday to Tuesday), this means a very, very short work week (and with a skeleton crew) for domain investors waiting on transaction payments and broker offers, and I'm still waiting on a) two GoDaddy domain payments to be released from sales in Dec 15 and 19 + b) a GD payment sent but that has still not hit my bank account, along with c) a broker at Uni ("Will") to finally get around to accepting a buyer offer that was between my floor and price - I think the buyer is irritated as they just sent a second similar offer to "Alex" today.

Oh well, at some point next week I hope the full staff is finally back at work (and not drinking or sleeping) so I just might have enough money to buy a case of Kraft Dinner.

P.S. I also still haven't received my MyID TBR invoice.

I'm hoping you get your money Apr 28... lol :D
