It's not necessarily people bidding multiple times tho... at WHC the 10th bidder would have no choice but to bid $350 if they want in on the auction ($20 > $35 > $50 > $75 > $100 > $150 > $200 > $250 > $300 > $350).
Saving time in advance or self serving $ grab

Has anyone had any success winning domains there for the minimum 8.88? Just wondering if there's any monkey business going on or if it actually happens. I think @DomainRecap had had some similar concerns a while back?
@rlm PM me the domain and I can probably answer better.

The restricted domains likely attracted a new extra parties, so now the pre-bidding is high for anything half decent.

I agree with this scenario, along with the odd newb who thinks "Bidding Moar!!" will scare people away.

Who's 'PlanetHoster' and 'Grape Inc'?

Those are private TBR registrars where you need to sign up as a client and then request TBR domains on a manual basis.

I tried and couldn't get it to work but I wish you luck.

Hey Guys Yaacov here,
Why all of a sudden this needs to be private when everyone here like's to raise non existent issues in public?
Why cant' you answer him on how many domains you have acquired for $8.88 from CatchDrop so far consistently?
Not only you, but many of the very active users on this forum acquire and have acquired amazing domains for YES only $8.88 for the past several months, yet no-one ever cares to mention it! That's fishy Not CatchDrop

I tried out catchdrop today, put in some last second orders, thought I'd get something for $8.88. They caught one domain, figured I would get it outright, but now see I'm the leading bidder at 8.88, but there is a second bidder now. So apparently someone else bid even more last second than I did, but since my bid was first, I'm the current leader. Has anyone had any success winning domains there for the minimum 8.88? Just wondering if there's any monkey business going on or if it actually happens. I think @DomainRecap had had some similar concerns a while back?
@rlm I was able to secure some today and it works. Had no issue taking control or changing DNS etc. Had no issues. Sorry couldn't respond earlier.

Welcome again Yaacov

Engage the members here and you will find lots of POSITIVE discussion. There is no benefit to not engaging the community that is the most active TBR community in Canada. You notice WHC has 6 service representatives on the board to engage our community: Service representatives

You said you were no longer going to respond on the board so I took that as you did not want to engage and I refrained from covering additional CatchDrop topics. You will notice lots of WHC topics and they always engage the community in a positive manner.

So I would say open some topics, you can say we had a great week, we have these domains on offer, good luck to the highest bidder.

I would love to have you on board more but ultimately that decision rests on engagement.

Thank you again for posting Yaacov (y)

Previously some of my CD orders were skipped over, but it looks like that issue has been fixed and I did pick up a couple of wins on CD this week.

I wanted to make this specific conversation private on the assumption that RLM didn't want his bidding habits displayed all over a public forum.
