It's a small win, but one I will heartily accept.

And seriously, did anyone predict that Agri was going to be the highest priced domain this week, and by a long shot? I realize it has uses (as a short form for Agriculture), but mostly in concert with an other word, like Agri-Tech or Agri-Food, not alone.

You can't count on the 100+ of crap domains at the end picked up by Mr Alphabet, as he's buying junk sites with traffic, rebuilding them, and then parking. then with ads. No idea how much money it's making compared to the effort, but he seems able to buy 100 domains every week or two...
 
I remember one week there was an absolute crap TBR list and there were something like 180 picks and it made absolutely no sense.

Then I dug a bit deeper and found that 110-120 or so of those were Last Minute Larry's picked up by Mr Alphabet for traffic/parking, which meant the actual real TBR picks were only 60-70 total.

Not me.. I feel there is some new cash coming into the space (which is always good) and everyone is trying to buy up anything when others want it too. I would be surprised if that was picked up here by some veteran at that price. And if so, I am humble enough to be taught and corrected of my view.
 
You can pick say 100 domains off that list that would cost you $2000 or $3000 through WHC, as an example. yeeesh.

though if it's a guy doing their own drop catching it's a lot cheaper I guess, but still.

Nope, not at all. My assessment was the same, its most common use is going to be Agri-Something-or-other. Agri is almost just too generic on its own, IMHO.

Exactly.. and that is why I feel it's the new money coming in from those who are entering the .CA space now. You and a few of us here, were blessed to be in it for years now.. how many?????? 23+years??

I started unofficially in 2000 and officially in 2002 so yup that is exactly right.
