domains said:Who needs NFTs or NBA TopShots when you have .ca TBR auctions? lol
DomainRecap said:Sure, but have you spent 5-figures on them?

whiteknight said:a good response to that as it's often the same in the domain world a car depreciates in price the minute you drive it off the lot! the only thing that usually doesn't is property or a house... assuming your lucky enough to afford either and not living with your parents...
from what i've noticed with .ca's its often the same as it's not a .com or .net... its a domain made for canadians... that said you could have a 2k domain that could be sitting in your portfolio for 4-5 years before a potential buyer even considers it! does it make sense to buy one in tbr for that price... also you would have to really up what it's worth to make any profit...
although sometimes some people get lucky.. i rarely do im 35 haven't been cooking in a year cause of covid and back home living with my parents was hoping for just one decent domain...
it wont happen this time obviously... prices are already marked... it's not to late to say something so that hopefully even just once something can be left for the small guy or girl next time..
whiteknight said:those are the only two decent domains i have i dont have hundreds and dont need to compete with others to collect them all everytime theres a good tbr drop
DomainRecap said:He's attempting a joke (badly) in tune with my comments that all the people sitting at home, including gov't workers collecting full pay, along with all the other rich shut-ins, with nothing to waste their excess cash on, are helping to drive up the price of stocks, crypto, sportscards, domains, NFTs, blockchain collectibles, etc.
Idle hands are the devil's workshop.
$6 NBA Hot Shots packs selling for $2K, every day a new record price on a Modern trading card, NFTs and NFT art setting price records, crypto coins spiking to unheard of levels before falling back, Reddit driving GameStop stock to the moon and creating mass chaos - no, all this would still be happening without the pandemic keeping people bored and in their homes. Sure...
This is an observed and confirmed economic trend that some choose to believe is pure fantasy and worthy of their poor attempts at humor.
