Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. I spent two days of my winter break creating a new site for my Canuck Domains brand. The idea of it is to charge rent for forwarding rather than selling my domains. You can find it at CanuckDomains.ca. Tell me what you think! What critiques do you have? How can I improve? And, of course, please let me know if I'm being a time-wasting, money-burning idiot.

Thanks!

Canuck

Sorry, just thought of this...

You might also want to offer an info@ email address.

Email is easy to forward and you could say...

Free info@ email address with a year prepaid service.

Of course with the entire service you would have to have iron clad anti spam/phishing rules with no refunds.

Last thing I suggest is to base it on a minimum 12 month term regardless.

Nice site, great concept, great sales@ email address.

What software will you use for the reoccurring subscription fees?
Thanks! I'm using Stripe for the subscription fees.

I hadn't thought about offering email forwarding, thanks! I'll add that first chance I get. As for the payment terms, I think I will offer a 12-month term option but alongside a monthly base, just to make it feel more affordable. If I get a few customers and it doesn't work out I'll get rid of the monthly option.

Looks good, these needs to be fixed:

White div with the data, it needs padding / spacing on the left and the right.

Make it responsive design on mobile.

Landing page looks great! Hope you keep us updated on how everything goes.

Just my two cents but maybe consider scraping the monthly pricing and going with a $99 yearly. This'll weed out those who'll only stick around for a month or two then cancel. I'd also really be hiking that price up come annual renewal.

I concur with this, I would do it this way...

1. $15 monthly
2. $99 yearly

Make it about 35% more to go monthly so everyone goes with a year term.

The people inclined to rent might have a short term project so committing them to a year will make you more money in the end.

I also think you should focus more on temporary domains, I just dropped cruzn.ca which could easily be rented for a cruise night.

Also domains ending in Fest.ca like MapleFest or similar.

So focus on event type of domains that people would short term rent.

I love your ingenuity, its only a matter of time until something hits for you (y)
