Trump Trying To Destroy Canada (4.Viewing)

I don't mind if we disagree on some or all of it, that's fine. Most people I know in Canada are anti-Trump, and there's others that probably don't want to say anything good about him because they'll be outcast.

I heard one person in the US say before the election they were voting for Trump for only ONE reason, that he would likely be tougher on crime and bring back more law and order than the Democrats. And after the last four years I can sure understand that.

Markets are tanking and investor uncertainty is at it's peak. This is Trudeau's fault.

conversely, "Everything is Trump's fault" is a page right out of the Biden/Harris/Clinton/Democrat/Liberal/Leftist playbook in recent years.

Last year the Liberals, even after 10 years in power, were still bringing up Harper's name for something that wasn't going right. We've had no new pipelines the last 10 years because Harper.... lol

Another perfect example of a "Trump informed voter!"
You forgot that the White House published a really classy statement that includes: 'The fake news losers at CNN immediately tried to fact-check it, but President Trump was right (as usual).' Source.

I sometimes wonder if I died and am stuck in purgatory.

Which lie issued by the current White House would you be referring to? Your source link has quite a few "releases"
And after watching Trump lie publicly on TV, I find myself skeptical of anything released by his minions nowadays.

And BTW, I'd love to hear some explanation from you Trump supporters on two recent announcements. I'm sure the ladies here would be interested, too and be damn glad they don't live in the US.
"Republicans announce it's time to bring their women to heel!"
"Republicans want to repeal the 19th amendment that gave women the vote!"

All that says is the article was updated to provide context on the spending provided by the White House the day after Trump's claim. Again, another example of him shooting off his mouth without knowing the facts. And the tiktok video stands as a perfect example of the effects of that.
You'll also notice the update has the statement that this clarifies "WHAT TRUMP DID NOT" in his speech.

Anyway, this argument is getting old and a perfect example of people who continue to support a deranged lunatic (yes psychiatrists say so) with a lot of "what aboutism" responses. Those aren't valid arguments.

Trump has faults like everyone else. Obviously the tariffs is a terrible idea for both Canada and the US but in my opinion, he has signed some excellent executive orders so I always like to give credit where credit is due.

Some of the great EO’s that he’s signed that I personally like are:

- EO 14149: Declaring a National Emergency at the U.S.-Mexico Border
Signed on January 20, 2025, this unlocked federal funding for border wall construction and stricter immigration enforcement without Congressional approval.

- EO 14152: Establishing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
Signed on January 20, 2025, this created a new entity led by figures like Elon Musk to slash federal spending and bureaucracy. (Maybe we need this in Canada).

- EO 14153: Termination of Federal DEI Programs
Signed on January 20, 2025, this eliminated diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across government agencies, aligning with Trump’s anti-“woke” stance.

- EO 14156: Withdrawal from the World Health Organization
Signed on January 20, 2025, this severed U.S. ties with the WHO, reflecting Trump’s skepticism of international bodies. (If the mismanagement of Covid wasn’t enough, I’m sure there are other examples).

- EO 14159: Ban on Gender Transitions for Minors Under 19
Signed in late January 2025, this restricted federal funding for such procedures, aligning with conservative social priorities. (This could be my favourite one).

So in no way would I call myself a “MAGA” supporter but again, I have to give credit where credit is due.

I also believe he is the MUCH better alternative than Kamala.

Trump claimed that $8 million was spent on "making mice transgender," but these studies just looked at the effects of hormone treatments.

This might be a surprise to some, but the primary consumers of HRT are menopausal and postmenopausal women...

The only choices Americans had were to continue with a Harris/Biden/Obama leadership, or a Trump leadership. Both aren't perfect, but as Nafti pointed out above, many of the EO's signed by Trump are moves in the right direction away from the lunacy of the past 4 years. Perhaps the biggest problem in the US is their almost $37 Trillion dollar debt, and annual interest costs to carry that debt that now exceed their military spending. If they are really trying to fix this, and border issues, and deal with Ukraine, and the many other pressing issues, it will not be easy and will get messy and times, and not be perfect. But at least an attempt is being made. Who cares whether the transgender mice issue is real or not, it is of no consequence really.

You can probably add a move away from biological males competing in women's sports, and using women's facilities. For anyone interested in truly protecting women.

So very important compared to when Republicans announce publicly they intend to "bring their women to heel" IE: The husband is in charge and will instruct wives how to vote and "repeal the 19th amendment" so they can't vote at all.

The utter lack of response here to those two issues show how utterly unconcerned some people are in protecting women's rights.
I find them among the most misogynistic ideas I've heard in years. Along with denying women the right to "control their own bodies."

Can any of you Trump worshipers answer those intentions and admit they're dead wrong? Or is (wink wink) silence the name of the game? Can any of you look at Diaper Don and Vance along with project 2025 and admit they've gone completely off the rails?

I think the 'bring their women to heel' and 'repeal the 19th amendment' must be fake news - first I've seen or heard of it anywhere. I mean come on, do we really think Republicans or any modern day party would try that? Ofcourse I'd be against something like that, but I doubt it's true. In fact, the Republicans have a lot of strong women in positions right now.

The biggest voting issue I saw is that Democrats don't want people to have ID or even be American to vote. California tried or maybe even succeeded to make it illegal to ask people for ID to vote. Now that is stupid and reeks of corruption. Part of the reason for their open borders was likely to gain more voters.

If we are really concerned about women, let's start in Canada where Trudeau has thrown every strong female MP under the bus for having different opinions. The last being Chrystia Freeland who he expected to deliver a disastrous budget then get demoted, and we know how that turned out. Not that I'm a big Freeland fan.

Another thing that's funny with the left, both US and Canada, is when it comes to pro choice / pro life, it's about having a right to control your own body, which I agree with.

But when it came to vaccines, it was get injected or else - lose your job, don't travel, don't go to restaurants, get ostracized, etc. One way it's my body my choice, the other way it's do it or face the consequences. Now we are really getting off topic... lol

the Democrats lie pretty easily, look at the Russiagate hoax, look at the Hunter Biden laptop being false hoax, the "very fine people' hoax. Look at how much money USAID was sending to mainstream media, both in the US and abroad, to spread their leftist agenda (like the Liberals do here with CBC). They will lie and spin anything to make Republicans look bad. And now they are desperate so it will probably get worse.

No, they were going to allow signature matching, which is what Georgia, a republican state, did in the 2020 election.

I'm not sure why any voting age person wouldn't simply have a piece of ID. And I don't know how the government would have signatures of every voting age person to match with. And anyone who for some reason doesn't have a piece of ID and wants to vote in an election can surely get one with a reasonable amount of effort.
