You understood why Godaddy's appraisals of domains ( post shared earlier) are controversial and why they purposely appraise them ridiculously low. In a nutshell, you find it difficult to sell. The buyers who refer GD , would feel less interested and this makes it difficult for you to sell.

You also know they shut down two large selling platforms #Dan and #afternic, after spending millions to buy them. Who does that ? . The purpose could only be to halt your domain sales. So that they sell new ( they are largest registrars afterall for nothing ) and they use your listings at #afternic for that more than to promote yours.

Now, what about #domainauctions at GoDaddy ? GoDaddy, besides closing dan and afternic selling platforms, also barred you from auctions, last year itself. Why would do that ? Same, halt your premium sales. Then why auctions , whose auctions are seen ? Good question.

On research , it is clear when you fail to sell your domains and drop them, they grab it, pop it up the list of KW search and auction them ( invite bids) and even mention the estimate value. So your demise is their booty, they would usurp the entire auction proceeds and you wouldn't even know. Those who still hold names under normal listings drop way below and found struggling.

, which is a body that monitors the whole #domaining ecosystem, and domain renewal policy strictly administered. But it is not , rules are flouted, and this could not be without convenient connivance, afterall billions are being made in this cladistine and fraudulent manners, and the booty must be shared.

Smell rat if you can, it is for you to do it. And choose GoDaddy, if you must, even for new registration of domains, because they are very expensive, and is why they use ( misuse ) your domains to push new TLDs rather than pushing your SLD that you listed at afternic hoping it would sell.
