I am sure just about everyone is familiar with the sales commission changes coming across all GoDaddy properties, (GoDaddy.com, Afternic, DAN.com and Uniregistry).

For those not familiar,

To simplify commissions, effective Feb. 1, 2023, each marketplace is moving to a 15% commission rate for domain names pointed to Afternic, Dan, or Uniregistry nameservers at the time of the sale. If your domain name does not point to Afternic, Dan or Uniregistry nameservers, the commission charged will be 25%.

I think the sales commissions should go up. I won't be happy until I pay at least 50%!

In reality, I think around 10-15% is fair (with tier limits in place, so higher sales are much lower) if the sale is coming via their distribution network.
If the sale is coming from traffic to your landers, with negotiation, and effort on your part I think more like 5% - 10% tops.

The GoDaddy 25% thing is ridiculous. It would be like eBay charging you more when your product sold there, because it was also listed on Facebook Marketplace.
