I have a couple of domains coming due in the next while and I notice WHC generated x2 invoices for me to pay.

How does it work one I get a large number of domains in my account. I don't really want WHC to generate an invoice for me because I may pay numerous domains at the same time and generating an invoice for each domain would means a lot of cancelled invoices stay in my account when I pay them all at once.

Example: It generated two invoices for me to pay but I went in and renewed my two domains myself (pretend it was 100) and paid them on one invoice. The system now cancelled the other two invoices (pretend it was 100) but the cancelled invoices stayed in my account. That will be a big mess of cancelled useless invoices in the account when we are looking at a larger amount of domains. I have hundreds of .ca's to move in as they become due and I have no desire for hundreds of invoices.

Next: The sorting has got to be fixed, I ALWAYS want the latest invoices on top. I click an invoice then go back to domains and it resorts in whatever it decides. I click to put newest invoices on top, then I look at another invoice and the sorting goes back to whatever.

Don't you think the sorting should ALWAYS default to the latest invoices on top? That would make sense right?

@FM

Because of this, I disabled auto-renew as it became far too much of a hassle. Now I just go in and manually do it, as WHC will still email you a reminder to renew expiring domains. Plus, @FM has extended the standard renewal price even further, so it's a pretty safe bet to just perform the job manually.

I'm trying to figure out what you mean by that, extended the renewal price even further?

I was thinking that too but I always think about what happens if I get incapacitated for any reason.
My wife has explicit instructions to keep all my credit cards running and auto renew provides a security blanket.

"Standard" renewal price, as in the "premium price' to renew an expired domain has been delayed compared to pre-FM WHC.

FM went through the timing and process in one of the threads, but I can't remember where I put the quote.

I'm off today, but I can take a closer look and see if there are any easy changes that we can bring into the New Client Area we're working on. Thank you for your feedback.

And yes, I believe the redemption period for .CA domains used to start on day 20 at WHC and starts on day 40 now.

@FM make sure to talk to them about this, WHC is the only place where the newest invoice is not sorted on top.
I had to reset that numerous times today and it resets every time I look at an invoice.

When it comes to unpaid bills, I think personally I would want the oldest one on top to be honest and as a business I'd want the same, as I want clients to pay their overdue invoices.

That being said, I think there's still lots for us to do when it comes to the interfaces.

Now for the domains list view, I always want them listed by expiring first.

Well, if you have 3 pages of invoices and it puts the oldest ones on top those are always the paid ones, you never see the unpaid ones unless you hit the date sort.

Then you go to the latest invoice, hit the back button and it shows you all the paid ones again until you hit the date link.
Repeat again and again to look at recent invoices.

That's why I said "when it comes to sorting unpaid invoices" - and I do have to take a look at the grouping of the invoices before diving into this next week.

Maybe it's just because we're domainers and not WHC's usual business client but i agree with maple when it comes to all these invoices.

I'm not really hung up on the chronological order since you can change that with a click but what I really miss the set up they had at Sibername. On siber's interface they didn't even show invoices i dont think, and only showed your order history along with corresponding paid receipts you can download. I liked that set up better, and the best part was that you could see a summary/preview of every domain included on every order/receipt, which made it easy to search specific domains.

At WHC, I have hundreds of invoices but I can't see or search for specific domains among them. The only way to easily find specific domains among specific invoices is to do a search for them among my emails.

All that said, it would be awesome if the search function on WHC's invoice page/interface was able to at least look up specific domains among your invoices.
