I woke up today to two emails like this....

I found that strange because I have not been with WHC since I moved out a few hundred domains a few years ago. Then I remembered I registered iLegal.ca as a test domain there so I decided to login and see what was going on.

This is what I saw....

Strange, those domains have not been there for years.

Initially I thought iLegal.ca was suspended because I keep getting strange emails and invoices every month that cause me a bit of anxiety. It is really weird when I buy a domain and then I get emails and request for money every month. I check it out and the invoices are for zero dollars.

I understand the zero invoice is for a service I did not purchase, probably the advanced control panel or something. I still have not figured out how to forward iLegal.ca to MapleDots.ca. I am sure I can do that through their zone editor but talk about cumbersome. Even as an experienced user I left the domain sitting there instead of fooling around with zone manager which really is for hosting purposes. For a domain there should be a straight forward forward feature.

All in all there is a lot of work to be done at WHC and I think they are probably spring cleaning because the suspended domains have been sitting in my account for years even though they have been moved to godaddy years ago.

My head hurts trying to sort this out, soo much strange activity and I only have one measly domain sitting there. I think I get more emails from whc with one domain than I get from godaddy with hundreds of domains. Pretty unnerving to get suspension notices at 7 am.

Agree... I still get 0.00 invoices for names moved out months ago. I just don’t understand why they haven’t streamlined simple processes like forwarding like almost all other registrars have.

*DONT_KNOW* %)

Wonder why they embarrass themselves like this

Horrible.

WHC is going to be one of the places where you use them for TBR and transfer out asap right? Trying to manage domains with hosting tools in such a pain in the ass

I'm guessing they outsourced programming to some third-world programmers and this is what they got, something that at first glance looks like it works, only to find out after the fact that it is a half-assed product full of problems. If they had programmers on staff, you'd think they'd have fixed more of this kind of crap by now.

They said they merged several companies together or consolidated their business. But seems like they let go too many during the process.

Makes no sense Eby...and they had a winner in the Siber tbr and tanked that ...not always but more often than not. Let’s see how they do today...but not really much of a barometer as not much to compete for.

I don't think they did exceptionally well today. Seems like the other guys picked up the limos and the most debated topic in the US these days with 5*. Hope you got it. LOL

I finally figured out those 0.00 invoices, you have to make sure you do not activate this...

The Advanced DNS Manager on the left.

If you activate Domain Manager Basic you will get a ZERO invoice every month and if you activate PRO you will get a .99 invoice every month.

As soon as I went under SERVICES and turned off Domain Manager BASIC the ZERO invoices stopped. You really don't need this service as a domainer, we only need URL forwarding and once they incorporate that we should be fine.
