Who left GoDaddy and why? (1.Viewing)

Well I guess that puts me right on time, I had just removed them from Godaddy so I'm all set.
From my personal catalog I am now completely devoid of any GoDaddy products, listings, domains etc.

I started my big change over with the 25% commission announcement and my shift away is now complete.

I guess I'm not the only one.

Is there a godaddy rep on here ? Where is the best place to keep .coms?

Anyone have a rep a godaddy that is any good?
They keep sending me new reps and I’m back to ground zero again..waste of time.
I’m about to jump ship too.

Any info would be great
Thanks

I think it has come to a point, where the US Government might have to get involved to break Godaddy like they are trying to do to Google. The danger of monopolization in the name of convenience.

I left them as well, most of my .com's are at Dynadot and the .ca's are at Canspace. Pricing at godaddy is pretty stupid nowadays.

Since DN.ca is exclusive to .ca now, I have moved all my .com's to saw.com

I am in agreement with the 9% commission but technically still a tad high.

5% for me is ideal and what a company should make unless there is a 3-4% credit card charge then the 9% is exactly right.

So in my opinion a way to mitigate this is to offer 5% on purchases above a certain amount where credit card cannot be used and bank transfers are the only option.
