A Class Action Settlement has been approved in the litigation against Yahoo! Inc. (“Yahoo”) and Yahoo! Canada Co. (together, called “Defendants” in this Notice), relating to data breaches occurring in 2013 through 2016 (the “Data Breaches”).

If you are a Canadian resident with a Yahoo account at any time during the period January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2016, inclusive, and have not opted out of the class, you are a “Class Member.”

I was with Yahoo and switched to Gmail (never to look back).

I think Yahoo came as part of my Rogers package with a me@home.com address which then switched to me@rogers.com and that peeved me off quite a bit so I switched to a me@yahoo.com address.

I actually kinda like Yahoo but the security was for the pits. Now they want me to fill in forms for stuff I can't possibly remember but I do know I was part of the breach at the time.

The problem is that if you're not constantly using your Yahoo email, it'll be temporarily deactivated until you use it again, thus causing you to miss out on these emails.

Yahoo has created a fixed game here.
