I'll officially go on record saying .ai is a temporary fad.
The registry has already got somewhat greedy but in a different way. It wants to charge registrars if their clients find the registry somehow and contact the registry directly.They all are, and although .AI is already an expensive TLD to register ($70-$100 a year), just wait til the .AI registry gets really greedy and starts to steal back premiums and increase registrations and renewals in 4- and 5-figures (or higher).
All the "Hot non-COM" TLDs have followed this path into ruin, and it's just a matter of time for .AI to follow suit and cook their golden goose.
