How long is it going to take before other registrars follow suit with no need to backorder? I can see WHC following in the future.
I have to admit; when you don’t have to backorder you will end up potentially spending more $$$ on domains you never really considered prior.

If nobody back orders it the registrar cannot get it. They need domainers to start the process. The public may back order here and there but we do it in bulk so we are worth our weight in gold.

Well…if a registrar is catching you are forced to backorder. If not you’re allowing someone else to pretty much get it for registration cost. This is a game changer.
You can’t pick up any domain for $8.88. That’s a loss. They are enticing you to backorder. It’s not difficult to have two people backorder a domain when you know there’s a chance it will end in no auction.
