Near May 24 weekend which means May 20th Monday or May 19th Sunday if we are flexible.

GTA - Toronto and Vicinity

Lunch meeting at a restaurant to be determined.

Will plan location for the centre of the group so that nobody has to travel too far.

Anyone wanting to attend or considering it please post here.


Also list a topic you would like to discuss, my topic is "How to engage the PUBLIC to participate in .ca" and how we could communicate better with CIRA to use key technology events to promote .ca.

If we can set a date, place, max amount of people and registration deadline, I might be able to locate my old domainer dinner mailing list and spread the word a bit more.

I guess the question would be do we want the Sunday 26 May or the Monday 27 of May

I am flexible and as far as a place goes, I would say someplace reasonably priced where we could order lunch or supper.
 
I am new, so perhaps my suggestion won't carry much weight, but I'd be game to attend if the event was either on June 17 or June 20. The reason: Collision conference is taking place June 17-20, 2024 and there will be thousands of Canadians (and not only Canadians) in tech coming to Toronto from all over. June 17 and June 20 are usually the "slow" days at the conference, making it a perfect target to maybe attract some people or investors to this meetup.

There was actually one year where I went to Toronto with Sedo during Collision to meet with some folks that were attending at the same time. I kinda like the idea.
 
Hey, the date is flexible to the groups needs.

Lay your ideas down, whatever gets the most participation works for me.
 
Anybody else planning to be at NamesCon/Cloudfest in Austin, TX June 5-8? We'll have a few WHC'ers there, would be nice to meet you (and at the Toronto Dinner, as well).
 
If I can make the dates work, I will make the trek from Ottawa to Toronto (or Montreal, etc.) for a domainer meetup, especially since I am skipping NamesCon this year due to family commitment.
