I can't speak for the other registrars, but it's likely the same -- we're not really in charge of what we target. I may think frequent.ca is the best domain in the drop, but I can't target it if it's just going to be a $50 sale and there is a slew of domains bid higher. (but neither did any...

That came up last week too. Some registrar that should have won the domain sent in a bad request ... CIRA started to process the registration and then determined that it couldn't be completed. Since CIRA may have already told other registrars the domain was taken, their only option is to rerun...

it would be a registrar screw up. Whomever should have gotten the domain, sent a bad registration request... in my experience, that would mean an invalid registrant. CIRA just pushes it into the next week's drop -Tom
