That makes sense though, since only users that fulfill the Canadian presence requirements are allowed to hold .CA domains. Unless they go beyond the minimum here.

It's the US registry that doesn't allow privacy. I can see a registrar potentially offering proxy registrations with their address, but I believe that is against the registry rules and can possibly lead to the deletion of your domain. This is from the top of my head without refreshing my memory.

Paging @efalcon @WHC I've reported the two URLS involved to Google safebrowsing, GoDaddy (current registrar for the login page) and the email marketing site used for the redirect.

That's the list I thought you meant. I likely wouldn't have included those names when I selected the list. Don't think I've seen too many like this on there since I've left either (a year ago now).

Just FYI - the bahaviour in other TLDs is similar. If you transfer a domain to another registration during what would have been the registry auto-renew period, the losing registrar gets a refund for the renewal and the gaining registrar's transfer only adds one year, while you might have paid...
