Hyphens still work for domains, but only when it's the proper form, and they can't be a 'forced usage' Plan B when the actual domain you want is already registered.

Nope, it's called the English Language and if someone types in that they "got an offer on CityPlumbing.ca" why would you automatically think that City is a variable? Who are you, Kreskin?
Then put the Variable word in brackets or quotes (like you just did above) or something like City+Realty.com because the way you did it, there was only one way to read it.
I literally thought "Who in the heck would sell CityRealtor.com for $1900 and what company is stupid enough to not buy it...
Whether this started out as an innocent attempt to buy a domain, it's clearly now a targeted promotional campaign to get views on their site, that they hope goes viral.

Probably from that bizarre electric airline who picked the brand name Quantum XYZ, then didn't secure the matching .xyz domain, instead operating off of FlyQuantum.com.

No idea, but I did it once because I thought I had to with imported leads on domains with prior offers, but then the system forced me to add it again. :rolleyes:
