Yep. From what see, any security updates in WordPress get pushed to your site automatically now. For the most part, you can also have your plugins set to auto-update (I suppose there's a bit of risk there but it does keep them up to date). I've found Wordfence helpful -- even the free version...

Based on what I'm reading, yes. They likely are suspended solely because they're eating up resources (too many people hitting the site) -- vs an actual statement on the part of the web host.

That was going to be my question. How much of the 'network effect' would one gain to offset the commission. Sounds like it's worth trying.
