Following a post on the DomainState forum today, a number news and blogs have criticized Network Solutions for front running domain names that customers try to register. (See for instance today’s report on DomainNameNews).

This is wrong from any angle...

So any domain name searched for by anyone at netsol is reserved for 4 days and someone else cannot register it?

How can icann allow that?

Most likely not, as this type of registration wouldn't be fully refunded anymore in the grace period as there are limits to that now.

LOL, almost an urban legend, although NetSol was doing this for while as that old article noted.
