GoDaddy was always charging sales tax on .ca domains so I think this is for all other services like domain discount club, .com's etc.

Nope they never charged tax.
I checked and all my .ca's have tax and so does a recent .xyz I registered.
Would have to go back to my boxed files to check the .com's but if memory serves me I thought they were not taxed before.
Wonder if this includes the Auction purchases now!

I could save a buck but the discount club gives me a number of perks with auctions etc and that has worked for me so far.
In all seriousness though, will probably be renewing them at Dan because they are saying registrations there will be at cost once they go live as a registrar. The only drawback will be having to pay in USD because the credit card companies always mark that up a bit.

Yeah they never charged taxes, only for CA stuff.
