I don't normally do this since I realize this is not the best place to make good end-user sale, but since this is a domain I'm not particularly attached to, lets play with it.

So I got an unsolicited offer on the domain Pinks.
Their initial bid is $500.
Feel free to place your offer.

Also, feel free to discuss this domain. You can't hurt my feelings.

What potential uses do you see for it?
What do you think its worth to a reseller?
What do you think the bare-minimum end-user price should be?

This domain makes me think of two things really:

1) Pinks as in Pink Slips. as in the Title of your vehicle. Historically used as the ultimate street-race bet, "racing for pinks". You lose the race, you lose your car.

2) Pink Salmon, small salmon (3-5lbs, maybe 2 feet long), ease to catch when running in the rivers, not the best eating, but pretty good smoked.

Any thoughts?

There seems to be a bigger player using the word pink lately which is PinkCherry.ca (link omitted on purpose, you are warned) and they are advertising on billboards all over Toronto.

It would be a quick flip to them for 5k just so they can say Pinks

It's worth a shot

While I suppose it would be no harm to try, I suspect they like their brand as is (they've had it a long time) and that they wouldn't think that Pinks is an upgrade. They have the cherry in their logo, so dropping the cherry wouldn't necessarily make sense. Furthermore, it turns the more playful innuendo of their current brand into a more directly and possibly considered crude name. I'd personally rate that as a near zero chance of success.

I just wanted to say that I never thought I would see the day when you rlm @rlm would list a domain for sale here. The Apocalypse really must be upon us! The end is near! :ROFLMAO:

HeHe, Don't jinx it, I think Pink Cherry is a good candidate.

5K can be written off on advertising in a second and fully tax deductable.

Tell them they can use pinks for their discount codes or something.
