I see 4000+ domains in the list but haven't had the time to check on the quality yet. I am getting lazy these days, thanks to WHC-FM @FM and WHC for taking the lead to let us know the hot picks by next week.

One of my New Year resolutions is to make use of the time on better/other efforts and would like to hear from my friendly folks here if you agree with my decision or if you do it any differently.

I might have to do the same thing, as with the Liberals not extending the CEBA deadline and calling due $50 billion in small business loans, I have a feeling things are going to get rocky in .CA domain land.

I'm not convinced... interest rates are gonna start dropping this Spring which is very bullish for our overleveraged country. It's possible the .ca market may actually heat up, the .com market is certainly much better now than 12 months ago.

I have a good feeling about 2024. My industry is the first to go during a recession, yet we're already booked up until July. Fingers crossed for a good domaining year!🤞
What industry is that?

Note sure if this is a sign of anything to come, but so far so good for me. As usual, I have many chickens (sales leads) that have been roosting for months. 3 have freshly laid eggs in 2024 (verbal commitments + invoiced), and if all the eggs hatch (payments received), it'll be a good start to the year.

Landscaping, specifically material blowing for large or limited access projects (playgrounds, green roofs, erosion control). I like to think that a high demand for decorative mulch signals a somewhat strong economy.

(I've spent the last half hour trying to resize this video so it doesn't take up half the page 🙃)

Congrats, but reading all that makes me want to fry up an omelet.

I can’t seem to envision a strong economy and rates going down. That typically doesn’t happen. A strong economy signals rising rates or at the very least steady rates. I think it was well timed to start announcing “3 or 4 reduction of rates” in 2024 right before Christmas. Simply trying to tell everyone “everything is fine” so they can spend every last dollar they have.

The fact is inflation has not went down to 2% and if they plan on reducing rates this early it will only start increasing inflation again. I think it’s a big mistake to start reducing rates in the spring and I don’t see it happening. My gut tells me that we won’t see any reduction in rates until the fall at the earliest. Time will tell.

Fake Inflation is insane - I went in to buy a toy for a relative at WM (January birthday) and it was $16.99 as of Dec 31, and now it's suddenly $19.99. :poop:

Same existing stock, same toy, same everything, just the minute 2024 rolled over WM decided to jack it $3.

It looks like someone's prices need to go up by 15% too.

During negotiations I always seem to get the argument that the economy is down and therefore prices should be much lower. Except I don't see lower prices anywhere on anything. I even believe that some businesses are now manipulating inventory to show a fake scarcity to justify higher prices.

Here's a great example:

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/kia-canada-car-sales-1.7063216

So KIA Canada says they were doing it to limit 2023 sales otherwise they'd beat all their 2023 sales targets and then KIA head office would cut marketing for Canada. Sounds like a good problem to have. Yet I still call bullshit. It's entirely so every KIA dealership can limit inventory on their lot, say there is a shortage, claim it's a miracle that they just happened to randomly get this one vehicle in stock unexpectedly, charge prices much higher than MSRP, tell you they have no idea when any more will come in, etc... And yet the day that car sells, another one just like it magically shows up on the lot.

The fact is inflation has not went down to 2% and if they plan on reducing rates this early it will only start increasing inflation again.

I've taken quite a few high-level Economics courses in my lifetime, and I still don't understand how inflation can truly drop in Canada with a current population growth bordering on 2 million people a year. If anyone has the data showing this (especially regarding food and housing), I'd love to see the model.

But at least these numbers certainly clear up who is actually running our country. And this guy makes billions by pushing higher prices.

Back to the TBR....

After that initial wave of good domains (like Warranty/Warranties) it's been one big stream of crap and we're almost at 9K expired domains already. So someone is dumping the garbage.
