Now that the Liberals got in again, and are constantly snaking around for those few extra seats they need for a majority, I fully expect a nationwide meltdown within their 4-year mandate. The cabinet ministers all look like morons and Trudeau 2.0 is in full swing.

I had a big laugh at all the bleeding heart liberal voters and liberal social groups having a huge cry-fest over this one, where the minister said that "affordable housing" actually means "higher wages and higher foreign migration rates, thus allowing Canadians to afford the current nosebleed housing prices.":rolleyes:o_O💩

Canada’s new housing minister doesn’t think prices need to come down

And yes, the current Housing Minister is the old Mayor of Vancouver - you can't make this stuff up! Plus, he's got that Bachelor of Arts to make sure he sure can understand all those big numbers. LOL

I bet Liberal voters actually believe that leopards can change their spots too. LOL

No words, except Canadians had their chance for a real change and blew it. Still have a glimmer of hope that Carney and his 'new' Liberals will be better than the last version. So far Carney talks the talk but hasn't backed it up. Still early in his term I guess.

So far Carney talks the talk but hasn't backed it up.

That's the problem - Carney just talks and talks about being different from Trudeau, but nothing has changed. And nothing ever will. That's the Liberal Way - incessantly talk about change to get votes from stupid people, but never do anything about it.

Carny: A huckster, thief or con artist who works in a carnival.

From the article I linked to:

On Tuesday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre criticized Carney for appointing Robertson to the housing file, calling his pick “problematic.”

“He increased housing taxes in Vancouver by 141 per cent, and the result was that housing costs went up by 149 per cent,” Poilievre said.

“Now Mr. Carney puts this gentleman in charge of housing. If this is the new blood that Mr. Carney is bringing into the cabinet, then sadly for Canadians, nothing is going to change.”

And just because we have the 'new' Liberals under Carney, doesn't mean all the 10 years of damage the Trudeau Liberals did has been fixed. That's 10 years of built up incompetence and waste that Canadians will still be paying for long into the future. It's all still sitting there under the surface and at the next downturn or recession everyone will really see and feel how bad it is. Given the Liberals recently got elected again I have to assume that a large enough part of the population still isn't feeling it.

Obviously, but it's the Trudeau mentality that hasn't changed at all. Hardly surprising since most of Trudeau's Yes-men just happened to get reelected. :ROFLMAO:

It's amusing that brainless Canadians seemed to totally blame Trudeau for the horrible condition of our country, while giving his cabinet and PMs a free pass. You can't have a meaningful shift when the majority of Liberal MPs (only 24 of 172 Liberal members of parliament were new) are exactly the same group of people who helped push Canada off a cliff.

It's like getting rid of Hitler or Mussolini, but letting all their underlings remain in power - now that's a big change!

And those Liberal voters all deserve exactly what's coming to them.

It really makes you wonder what half the country is thinking when they vote Liberal. At least the NDP got demolished, but a lot of their voters probably just switched to Liberal because there's no difference now. It might be because a lot of them depend on government jobs (40% increase under Trudeau in govt jobs) and the goodies that the Liberals keep throwing out, in a sense they feel they are 'getting ahead' by the Liberal policies, not realizing or not caring that they are sending the country spiraling into a debt doom loop, and our kids and grandkids will be the ones that have to pay for it. Then the mainstream media knows that the Liberal govt will continue funding them, so how can they not be slanted towards the Liberals, some of them couldn't hide their giddiness on election night when they saw Pollievre wouldn't win his riding. Or maybe people think the Liberals are the 'good guys' in the fight for progressiveness and wokeness. I hope I'm wrong and everything turns out ok, but it's hard to see that when you have the federal and provincial governments continually posting multi billion dollar deficits out into the future, it doesn't end well. The best thing is probably for this Liberal govt to be short due to a No Confidence vote, and we get a new and better government in place, but for that to happen things will first have to get really bad. At this point try to see what's coming, and prepare to look after yourself, family and friends as best you can, and enjoy life in the meantime. Maybe it will all be ok anyway! :D I'm past the point of trying to change people's minds, as said above Liberal voters all deserve exactly what's coming to them, they have no clue of some of the worst case scenarios possible from a decade plus of Liberal mismanagement.
