The link seems to have been removed and muscle memory has me clicking to Mark All Read each time I go to that section.

What's up Doc?

That was next to "New Posts" and was very useful. I thought t was "Latest Posts" or something.. LOL
Now we are in that age group, that we find it hard even to remember the topic leave alone, where it was found. LOL

Yep, when you clicked on "New Posts" beside it on the right was a link to "Latest Posts", which are individual new messages.

Latest Posts is a key element of any site and it's also missing from the right sidebar (it used to be at the top), while a lot of spurious crap like Updated Market Pages are there. I realize you want to sell here, but that can't be the primary goal or no one is going to post.

I see it on the front page, but is there a setting for the number of posts displayed, as it only displays 6 messages with a "View more" button at the bottom.

It looks like it - kinda bizarre as it's the most important part of any forum and it's being hidden.

The software is complex, the upgrade changed some of the structure and when combined with our custom changes there were some conflicts.

I am using the time to restructure the navigation a bit but its quite a complex sttructure so it will probably take me to days end to get it the way I want it.

Now is the time to ask for navigation changes while I am working on it.

Can we get back a sidebar for Active Posts? It used to be at the very top, then it totally disappeared.

It was actually a "New Post" widget

I removed that and put in New Topics instead because the New Post button is right above and technically they had the same function so now it lists New Topics instead of New Posts. So when visitors come they can see all the new topics.

The side bar has limited space and I could shorten displays from 6 to 4 topics and cram in one more but I'm not sure if that one is needed because the New Post button duplicates it.

I just bookmark the new-posts page, so that's where I go by default. I rarely use any of the navigation to any other part of the site.

I don't use any other site feature other than Active Posts, so I might try that.

Do you also get 6 listings and a 'View More" button?
