After reading it through, seems like the right decision. Put up a webpage AFTER the complaint was made, with no business behind it.

"The Registrant appears to have registered a Domain Name specifically selected because of the Complainant’s Mark and then came up with a rushed website after notice of the dispute in order to fabricate a justification for the registration, which as explained above, lacked supporting evidence and credibility."
 
I think he has been one for quite a long time, that is why he is such a great domain lawyer to hire, he has experience on both sides.

He's had to exclude himself a few times though due to conflicts of interest playing both sides.
 
The big deal here was that the complainant had the AFCDEALER.COM site fully trademarked, which put anyone registering the same domain on a different TLD, right behind the 8-ball.

It isn't a generic word, but a 3 letter acronym before a generic word, so you'd have to have a pretty good reason to register it in .ca for purposes other than the trademark use. Not easy to defend that.
