Buy Requests (1.Viewing)

Sometimes I think these buy requests are trolling a domainer they know owns the domain they want, but are trying to sucker them into selling cheaper than they would if the buyer initiated a direct inquiry.

Sometimes?

It's pretty obvious the brokers/buyers already know exactly what they're looking for and are taking this angle in order to play games and potentially get a deal.

Be careful responding to supposed 'buy' requests from parties you are not familiar with. Sometimes those 'buyers' or 'brokers' are going to try to front run your domain without your knowledge or permission. Or they are simply doing engagement farming with no intent to buy. I am not saying that is the case with Nick Eubanks (he actually seems like a legit person), but his post made me think of this tip.
