What’s your domain extension of the year? (3.Viewing)

Imagine your whole 2025 your wins, your mistakes, the unexpected moments, the chaos, the progress and everything in between had to be represented by one single domain extension.

Which TLD would describe your year?
Did your 2025 feel like a premium domain… or a hand-reg gamble?
What TLD would you hope to use for 2026?

Not my extension, but .com is still the TLD of the year.

I don't think anyone can argue that .AI is probably the extension of the year.

That said, I have, and continue to say that .AI has a limited shelf life and .com will continue to reign supreme.

For me personally it's .ca

For the domain world, I'd say it's a tie for .ai and .com, with .xyz as the runner up. Those generated the most outstanding sales and newsflow.

For 2026, I'll say the sleeper TLD is going to be .SI for Super Intelligence.

Honestly the extension that surprised us the most this year was .IO
It just kept climbing, too. Every time we checked the numbers there were more AI teams more indie founders and more global startups picking it up.
It’s got that clean techy feel strong branding and way fewer abuse headaches than other trendy extensions.
