Most established members participating in TBR have noticed the trend of harvesting website traffic for Gambling Sites. The owners of these gambling sites buy up expired domains with hundreds of backlinks to drive traffic to their sites.

Most of us think this is a recent event but it has actually been happening for quite some time. In fact cannabis sites have also been doing similar, see:

Dank.ca for instance has been participating in TBR for quite some time and amazing quite a catalog of .CA domains. In fact I will often get to dank.ca when I punch in an expired or purchased TBR domain.

Example MapleMortgage.ca forwards to dank but it's not alone, there are many example of .ca's forwarding to dank.






If I were a betting man I would say this trend is going to continue and TBR is going to get more valuable moving forward as more companies discover the benefit of harvesting old web traffic and back links.

I agree and the latest TBR trends seem to be moving away from traditional .CA domains intended for sale to end users (expensive, very tough to sell, can take years to find a buyer, lots of lowballers, high holding costs, etc.) and towards SEO/traffic domains that offer a quick injection of profit-creating visitors who yield immediate financial results.
