CarShield.ai UDRP: Classic passing-off cybersquatting
NRRM, LLC (dba CarShield) filed a UDRP against Robert Rielley over CarShield.ai in what reads like a textbook cybersquatting case. The domain was identical to the CARSHIELD mark apart from the “.ai” extension, and the panel found that enough to satisfy the first element.
What made this one especially clear was the use. According to the decision, CarShield.ai resolved to a site offering vehicle service contracts or closely related car insurance services in direct competition with CarShield, while also using a similar color scheme and check mark to the Complainant’s branding.
