Thank you for waiting patiently for me to get the
sales column schedule back on track (every other Wednesday evening with the next one coming September 21)! The good news is I have
three weeks worth of data to share with you now including a lot of terrific sales!
The first thing to tell you about is a
BIG historic domain sale that came to light while I was away - one of the
20 biggest cash sales ever publicly reported. I learned about it on the first day of NamesCon when
Robbie Ferguson sent me a link to his post on
Robbie's Blog that revealed details of a July 15, 2021 sale of
AV.com. Robbie had learned that the price paid was
£3,013,000 which equals
$4,176,922 at the exchange rate that was in effect at the time of the sale. That made AV.com the #1 sale of 2021 and we have placed it in that position on the
2021 Top 100 Sales Chart in our
Domain Sales Archive. We have also added it to our
All-Top 20 Cash Sales Chart (link above) where it ranks #17.
