I have been a member of the ICA for several years.

Like any organization, I don't support everything they do. I have no problem speaking out when that is the case.

However, they also have been involved in some important things like the fight against the .ORG private equity takeover.
The ICA and EFF were probably the two organizations that fought the hardest against it.

The ICA helped organize a grassroots response that lead to thousands of comments to ICANN.

It was eventually rejected -

I even got a positive comment from Rob Monster, when it came to the .ORG fight.

Oh, and a special shoutout to @GeorgeK.

He was instrumental in that .ORG fight, and registrant rights in general.
That is especially true when it comes to ICANN policies.
