The point is that their brand is MagicLeap, not Magic, not Leap, not Magi, not Magica, but 2 distinct words that create a new brand that evokes something totally different than just Magic or Leap.
Come over to our company and take a "Magic Leap" into AR.
That's why trying to directly link Magi,ca to MagicLink would something only be known to the owners of the company. Is it using the word Magi either as a "Four Wise Men" or alternatively as a form of Magus, which means magician or sorcerer, or is it just the first 4 letters of their brand shortened down to M-A-G-I, or do they want utilize it as a foreign version of half their brand, Magic, or are they playing around with symbols by using Magi.ca/ to denote Magical?
Given the evidence, a customer cannot know with 100% certainty (bet your life?) what the hell they're trying for here, and certainly not the level of MagicLeap.com.
Personally speaking, I feel that Magi.ca is just a bizarre 3-layer in-joke concocted by a couple of knothead techies. They get it, and that's all that matters to them. Fortunately, it no longer matters to me, so I'm done.
