Contact to Support - Me...

Ever since the last banking app update I cannot deposit cheques. The picture stretches beyond the boundaries of the cheque and garbles the ends. So instead of using the app I tried taking a picture using just my camera and the picture looked perfect. I then uploaded the picture with the same results, it stretched the image and garbled the ends. From that I figure it is not the cameras fault.

Additional Contact to Support - Me...

I managed to deposit the cheques by using my old phone which had not updated your banking app. So it looks like on the newest app update I cannot deposit a cheque but on an older version I can. From this I can only deduce there is a fault in your latest update to the banking app.

Response from Support - Bank...

Thank you for your message. Please ensure your mobile App version is updated to the latest version. Should you require further assistance, we kindly ask that you call our Contact Centre at 1-866-XXX-XXXX and a representative will be pleased to assist you.Thank you, we appreciate your business.

For all that is holy, do these morons actually read what the client sends in their support emails?

The first line of support is almost always a bot or auto-response of some sort. They hope you'll get frustrated and figure it out on your own or just go away. They'll do anything to avoid having you talk to a human. Humans cost money. Even if its just a call center in India, its more than they want to pay. Call centers in foreign countries have found out that its more profitable scamming seniors anyways.

... using information they get from the host country's support network.
