I don't know about you but I'm kind of anxious about this forward especially since RedLineLegal.ca is also available for a hand registration.

Why pick RedLineLegalServices.ca ?

I'm surprised they did not register RedLineLegalServicesPC.ca :ROFLMAO:

Because some doughhead "SEO Expert" sold them on a keyword-stuffing domain like it was still 1998.

They should be a) registering RedlineLegal.ca and b) talking to RLM about potentially buying Redline.ca - then they can officially join the 2000's.

You're being too generous, and while the other two may be great names for other businesses, Redline.ca is the crown jewel for this particular company. Always go after your core brand.

If it was my business I would want RedlineLegal.ca

Business name is Redline and legal describes what it does.
I'm not sure I would want redline.ca because if you take redline as one word the legal part technically makes it a two word business domain like BestBuy.ca

RedLine is the core brand and that's what any business should be looking to own. Having RedlineLegal as a forward is okay, but we're talking basic branding here. And RedlineLegal has zero to do with a seemingly 2-word brands like BestBuy, GameStop or Microsoft.

Redline Legal is exactly like hypothetical companies such as Prestige Construction, Summit Solutions, Fantastic Media, or Aura Therapeutics. "Word/Term/Brand + Business Sector" so your core brand is the Word and if you can afford it, then get it.

The website URL should not be a long, keyword-stuffed explanation of what your business is (that's your site's job) ideally it needs to encapsulate your core brand in as small a space as you can possibly afford.

If you prefer prestigeconstruction.ca over prestige.ca or auratherapeutics.ca over aura.ca or summitsolutions.ca over summit.ca, then you just failed Business 101.

By that logic, no one should ever buy Red.

Yes, it is a little self defeating isn't it.

That said, names like that usually go to big companies that already have the traffic and are looking for a name upgrade.

Facebook simply called face would probably not have worked as well. Now it would probably be a huge upgrade if they ever decided to become the worlds passport. I remember them talking about that.

Did you even read my post?

Facebook is NOT the same thing as Redline Law.

Facebook is a brand using 2 unconnected words and the other is a brand (Redline) that adds on a Business Sector/Descriptor (like Construction, Media, Design, Hearing, Medical, Company, Group, Holdings, etc.) to the end, which in this case is Law.

Redline is the core brand, while Law is a generic business sector or area.

Facebook's full business name is now Meta Platforms (it used to be Facebook Company). Meta is the brand and Platforms is the business sector, type or descriptor. They use Meta as their prime brand, just as they previously used Facebook (and not Facebook Company) as their primary brand.

In order to understand domains and branding, you need to understand the difference between Lucky Charms and Lucky Strike, and other names like Lucky Design and Lucky Immigration.
