Wondering what's everyone's outlook for domains, or just .ca domains, for 2022?
I am a little cautious with the economic outlook, inflationary pressures could continue, and if interest rates go up or Fed starts to tighten, could see some slowness in economy as everyone deals with managing outsized debt. Might even see domain registration fees continue to go up.
I could see myself trimming my portfolio a little in that situation, holding on to better names, focus on quality, dropping or selling off lower value names.
In the past 20 years or so, no economic slowdowns seemed to stop domains too much, even though I was concerned at the time. I think even in a bad economy, everything is still going online and that's why domains have held up.
