The firearms forum AR15.com, was shut down after GoDaddy terminated the domain.

Seems like the big boys, twitter, youtube, facebook, and godaddy are going to be the ones to determine what we can read on the internet.

The forum is back up and running thanks to our friends at Epik.com

We are fortunate to have a registrar that does their job instead of trying to force their views on other websites.

All the big corporations are lining up to kiss Biden's ass and get to the head of the line for the upcoming Democratic gravy train.

After all, what was GD doing about all these evil people *before* the election?

More like 1 company decides and the others follow suit or are shamed into doing it. Imagine being the one tech company/social media platform that didn't ban Trump or similar content?

Reminds me of all the BLM posts from last summer. If a company didn't post a message then they were called out until they did.

It's called gab.com

Once you get past all the trumpisms it is actually a much better site than twitter.
They are all bogged down now because of the influx of new members but I predict that will be trumps new online home.

I never even heard of the website before but was able to find this statement by GD:

"In response to content complaints on the ar15.com website, our team investigated and discovered content on the site that both promotes and encourages violence. As a result, we informed the site yesterday that they have 24 hours to move the domain to another registrar, as they have violated our terms of service," GoDaddy told the Washington Examiner.

While trying to learn more about it I found that GoDaddy did the same thing to Gab in 2018, but that was a little different since it was response to a mass shooting:

"The platform made headlines in October 2018 after a gunman opened fire in Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue and killed 11 worshipers. Robert Bowers, who is accused of the crime, spent years posting anti-Semitic rhetoric on Gab. His final post before the shooting read, “I can’t sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics, I’m going in.”

There's obviously a trend going on right now but I'm guessing GD doesn't want another Gab situation on their hands either? I'm not familiar with any of these platforms getting banned/shutdown so I really don't know if they deserve this treatment. I mean, the Christchurch shooter in NZ live-streamed his massacre on FB and you don't see FB getting shutdown, but the shooter probably didn't use FB for anything except to livestream it.

I also tried visiting Gab .com just now and it looks like their site is down, or are they mainly app-based?

FYI

Gab was indeed down for a bit today... too much (new) traffic from the sounds of it:

Go Daddy explains the AR15 boot

From what I know about godaddy they usually respond that the decision is permanent.
There really is no way to argue a point, they say no and that is it.

If you look on the internet you will see hundreds of complaints where godaddy does just that.
