Been getting lowball offers for this domain the last little while when I had it at make an offer at dan. The thing is the lowball offers came through GoDaddy auctions which is also where I list my domains.

When I put in my expected price even the GoDaddy offers go up because the client ultimately punches the domain into the URL bar and sees the expected price.

With your Buy Nows at Dan, you're not using the Lease to Own option? Just got another Lease to Own sale last week. I'm really liking it.

No one likes to stretch out payments but i feel like it’s a good strategy. Most end users don’t want to do it either. The ones who do could likely default in which you received payments and kept the domain.

It’s a win win.

I am thinking about that, had it active for a while but stretching out payments does not really appeal to me.

What theinvestor said.

Offering the Lease to Own option closes sales. I feel like it's a game changer after being sceptical in the past. Dan just makes it so easy. I'm now up to 4 monthly payments now.

And then what I mentioned in the other thread. I had one buyer that made 5/6 payments and I got the domain back since they failed to make the final payment.

My most recent one last week. She made an offer, I countered, she replied:

"I am absolutely interested, but with startup costs, I don't have the capital right this second. Would you be willing to take installments (and you could retain control of the domain until it's paid off) or reserve it for me for a few weeks while I do some fundraising?"

Told her about Lease to Own, that closed it.

I do wish you could apply lease to own on a name by name basis. Some I wouldn’t mind but some I don’t want long term. It seems from reading about it in settings it is all or none. Am I reading that correctly?

[notify]Jonathan Hitchens[/notify]How long after they missed a payment did you have to wait to get the name back and was it a hassle free process. Dan really doesn’t make that very clear that I could see. Thanks

You can, see the "IN" button, it means installments and you can activate it on a PER DOMAIN basis.

I wasn’t even aware of that either. I guess I should spend more time in my DAN account. :)

Me either…Thanks Frank

[notify]MapleDots[/notify] ..Hmmm..I don’t see anywhere in the domain edit function to activate/deactivate installments…only in the settings and that makes all/none installments

Ahhh..Got it *THUMBSUP*

To anyone who have made sales on Dan where the lease option is used, what price range are those domains in?

Wondering what level of domain price people are opting to lease.
