Got the above letter today and have no idea how he knew I owned Kitchener.com

Looks like a unique marketplace

Price estimates of that tool seem low, e.g.

sex.com -- long-term price: $678,023, short-term price: $193,721
music.com -- long-term price: $769,370, short-term price: $219,820
games.com -- long-term price: $525,944, short-term price: $150,270
poker.com -- long-term price: $485,375, short-term price: $138,679

Agree. All of the names I submitted came back on the low side.

I just entered a one-word .com domain my buyer client has agreed to pay $600,000 for ... this appraisal tool suggested long-term price is $78,188. So, yeah, definitely on the low side. These automated appraisal tools are always to be taken with a grain of salt, pun intended. FWIW, Estibot appraises the domain at $92K.

how legit are the people behind graen?

I think you can go by the accuracy of their appraisals.

Well if you use accuracy as a metric, not a single appraisal service has legit people behind it!

Maybe I should rephrase. None of the appraisal services give very accurate results at all. So as an actual tool, they have very limited use; so not a real legit tool. The people behind the tools could certainly be legit.

Or these appraisal systems here:

https://pc.domains/
https://domainindex.com/

Edit: Scratch this one:
https://www.epik.com/appraise (oh, guess that's paid appraisals now and they got rid of their free ones)

The Epik free one was just a pass thru to Esitbot.

I tried the Graen one, pretty impressive. A domain I paid $79 years ago on something that is hot right now and have listed for $70,000 gave an appraisal of $66,000.

Will try some more out.

eh, the others not impressive
