Helmuts Meskonis Acquires ConsultDomain.de For His Expanding Portfolio of International Domain Name Forums

Serial entrepreneur Helmuts Meskonis, the Founder of No Stress Limited (the UK-based parent company of HostMaria.com and London's Domain Summit conference), expanded his Internet holdings by purchasing long established domain forums DNForum.com and AcornDomains.co.uk last year. A key reason Meskonis wanted the forums was to help promote his rapidly growing Domain Summit that just finished another successful run in August. He obviously likes what he saw in the forum space because he just acquired another one, ConsultDomain.de, once an iconic German online community but one that has been dormant for several years now.

How is it going with DNForum.com? Is activity up since it was acquired?

I pop in from time to time, but don't really see that much going on.

Good afternoon Brad,

When I took it over - it was dead = barely had 1-2 posts/day.

Now, the traffic is returning, and the features we have added contribute towards this.

I understand that some could be skeptical> here you go = "naked" DNForum stats (took a number of screenshots from our G ANalytics account >> the traffic is clean (no bought traffic or shady traffic - you would see this immediately in reports like these).


You will also notice that we are working with returning Chinese traffic to DNForum (previously Chinese buyers/sellers were the major force there), and we are doing some specific things to make this happen (for example, have removed the Google fonts from DNF, as these are blocked in China and will destroy loading times).

The newsletter contributes well towards the good name of DNF. Domain names mentioned in these weekly newsletters get bought quite often (we send out newsletters on Tuesdays)

DNForum is back A clean place (we promote non-offensive business environment) to do domain name business and to find/sell/bye domains for liquidation and wholesale prices.

Worked on that a bit more and added hover and shadow affects showing the forum name when the flag is hovered over.

I hope everyone likes it, it took a bit of work to get it 100%

November 8th Today is only 8 days in and we have 13,465 visitors with 103,888 page views
