I have never sold a domain at Uni before, but I finally did today and they're harassing me for a Transfer Code.

Unfortunately, I cannot set up a Market Payment Profile to get paid, and always get a "Account is not configured to allow payouts" error when I hit the "Get Started" button.

Does anyone know how the Uni payment system works? I have a standard Payment Profile on my base account, but not for the Domain Market section.

I just can't catch a break.

Uniregistry Support told me to contact GoDaddy Support, who had no clue what I was talking about (as they have no direct access to the Uni system) so I just replied back to Uniregistry to either fix my account or $%#@& off and cancel the transaction. I literally have no time for this crap.

No way am I transferring a domain to such a slipshod, support-less company without any method of getting paid. My momma don't raise no fools.

Put up a new lander on the domain with clear info how to contact you. Maybe the buyer will contact you directly and you can explain the issue and work together directly.

Can you not use your godaddy payment account?

By now they should have that working right?

Not that I know of and I even recommended that when I called GD, but they're two separate businesses in terms of account management (which means someone at Uni needs to get off their ass and do something), although the UI for payouts does seem to be same or similar to GD's.

Uniregistry is just a real mess and it seems to be being run like a shell company with no actual employees or tech support - I even think they use Afternic brokers.

At some point, GD should just fold it into Afternic and stop the madness.

If they can't fix my Uni account, and be able to pay me, within a few days, then I'm not transferring the domain and at that point, I plan on putting a BIN at the same price on my Dan lander.

Point it to dan and do that, you can even leave a note on dan telling the buyer.

I am beginning to think that Uniregistry is entirely Bot-powered, as first I get a canned and totally inappropriate response to "Call GoDaddy Support for all questions", and today I have received 2 more "REMINDER: Transfer Items Required" emails asking for the code that I've said I'm NOT going to send before my Payout Settings are enabled/authorized/fixed.

Hey Uniregistry!!!

REMINDER: Get Off Your Ass and Fix my Account so I can Receive a Market Payout!

Update:

Our very own GoDaddy Christmas Angel @jamesiles got involved with my problem at NP and I just got an email from Uni stating they have fixed my account and I was able to create a Market Payout Profile and provide a Transfer Code.

Once the right people get involved, it's amazing how quickly problems get solved.

Now I just need a vacation...

At godaddy its all about the right people, I have superb service there and adding James to the mix only elevates it.

Shoutout to my VIP account exec Greg Fombelle as well.
