I recently started picking up Pending Delete domains and I am swamped with robo calls. I block them after the first call but they still leave voice mail and fill it up.

How do you deal with the calls? Any App for iOS?

I use Ooma.com and route all calls through there.

They have a couple of spam lists...

Look for an app that does similar

get calls every day like this, mostly trying to sell website building services or some recorded voice scam. it is relentless, I just don't answer a call if I don't recognize the number, but I don't get so many that it fills up my messages with voicemails. they even are getting to the point of showing a local number in the caller id sometimes.

SHAKEN/STIR technology was supposed to go live by the end of November:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STIR/SHAKEN

so it'll be interesting to see if that leads to reduced robocalls....

My understanding was that the deadline was simply to install the software that allowed for calls to be blocked. There was no deadline or mandate for it to actually be used. That's the thing that seemed bizarre. So will this be an upsell? Or part of your basic service? To me this sounds suspiciously like the people who created computer viruses, then a few years later, created the anti-virus solution, for a monthly fee of course. That's just me and my skepticism that comes with old age...

Nope, because Bell and Rogers openly resist any change to the status quo, which makes them millions of dollars in profits from usage charges when people answer their cell phone to listen to 3rd World scammers.

Interesting footnote:

The name was inspired by Ian Fleming's character James Bond, who famously prefers his martinis "shaken, not stirred." STIR having existed already, the creators of SHAKEN "tortured the English language until [they] came up with an acronym.”

I had a couple of robocalls today (one to a cell, and second to a landline) so it doesn't seem like the SHAKEN/STIR system is a 100% solution.... ]:->

I'll have to get second number on Ooma and use it for whois. Not much option to block robocalls on cell phone right now.

ooma is the absolute best, I have 2 lines and it toggles them for home and business where either number can take the two lines.

I never ever get a spam call because as soon as one gets reported in the ooma community its flagged for everyone.
