I notice the activity on all domaining forums and platforms like twitter is down quite significantly. Sure there are a few vocal celebreties but generally there has definitely been a slowdowm. I noticed a slow down in reported sales as well and am wondering who is selling at the moment.

Personally I have had 3 sales of decent significance in the last little while but other than that it has been low ball offers.

Am wondering what everyone else is seeing.

Definitely slow with inquiries. I can count on one hand the amount of inquiries I had last month with my domains via the DAN lander.

Additionally, we are facing a tough compare in our Aftermarket business. While our Aftermarket business showed strength in the fourth quarter last year, the demand for high value sales has been difficult to predict due to its short lead times and fast close rates. Our current guide does not factor in the same strength we experienced last year due to the current macro trends. Said simply, we do not expect Aftermarket demand in Q4 to enable the same revenue out performance we achieved in the year-ago quarter.

the slowdown is real!

Yes, been slow since the spring for me in inquiries and sales.

I usually work outdoors and out of town in the fall, so I'm less active on forums like here. But due to the cold weather and snow, my field work is pretty much over now so I should be more active.

From my experience, domain sales slow for a time during a slow economy (like 2008 era), but they don't stop entirely. People still start and try to grow businesses during down economies and the internet is as necessary as ever. No one has replaced websites and emails yet, or a way to navigate to them easily. When it's slow like this I'll tend to drop names that I've lost confidence in or had no inquiries in, or maybe have become outdated. Even in a down economy there are always some sectors doing well. I look at domains as unique digital assets, and when you have inflation good hard assets usually keep or go up in value as the dollar deteriorates.

I just had a financial institution make me a FAIR offer for a direct hit 4 letter domain.

$1,500

We must be in desperate financial times :ROFLMAO:
Lol, fair to them for sure :)

Whether you think we're in recession or just a slow economy, still seeing nice domain sales posted on pretty much a daily basis in all extensions. The four .ca sales by Excellent Domains this week were also 'excellent'.

Maybe some with very large portfolios see a slow down….I haven’t seen one. I have record number of traffic this year along with inquiries/sales.

What were those 4 again?

I feel like I read something on DN, but I'm blanking bad...
