Use a spreadsheet and log not only your contacts, but also your sales. Repeat customers are the best kind, the relationship is already there. I have a contact from the old eBay days and I bought dozens of .com's from him, he helped me find a lot of my .ca purchases from the profits. Here on the forum I have purchased multiple times from multiple members and the logs are super important. @DataCube has a good point, losing that sales history and contact information on DAN is very unfortunate and detrimental to future sales.
